Water Technology: Phosphorous Reduction

Ph1Infratech offers a solution through an integrated packaged unit that can be connected at the end of an existing waste water treatment plant operation and thereby does not disrupt the operations of existing plants. The Infratech solution for reduction of phosphorous and nutrient extraction can be readily tested in situ with inflow and outflow monitoring and readily incorporated into existing processes.

System: Ion Exchange process with nano-filtration technology media. High absorptive capacity of filtration columns connected in series.

Dwell Time is expended in the filtration systems themselves and compatible to plant flow rates so the system in synch with its host plant.

Design: The system can be designed to discharge direct into discharge pipes if required with no discharge tanks or if required this can be included. A 50m3/hr system can be containerized in 2 x 40ft containers.

Control: Each system has its own automated control system and comes containerized in 20 or 40ft containers. The containers are insulated and temperature regulated for year round performance.

SCADA: SCADA monitoring for real time data logging is possible.

Recovery: Phosphate can be sediment from backwash and extracted as sediment or disposed of through the plants existing sludge route.

Warranty: The filtration systems are warranted for 24 months

Continuous Laminar Flow Inversion and Oxidation (CLF)

Continuous Laminar Flow Inversion and Oxidation (CLF) is a technology developed for treating open basins and reservoirs and large-scale wastewater basins powered by the floating solar technology. The technology unlike ordinary diffused air systems, surface aeration, paddlewheels, hypo limnetic aerators, or propeller-aspirator aerators, oxygenates an entire body of water from top to bottom. In doing so, it gets rid of many of the gases such as ammonia and carbon dioxide, which aquatic weeds and algae need for food.   The floating solar system is designed to prevent water evaporation, keep surface water cool and prevent photosynthesis and arresting algae bloom cycles.  There are many advantages in coupling the floating solar system and CLF system. The CLF system is designed to carry oxygenated, toxic gas-free surface water down to the bottom of the water body. At the bottom, oxygenated water binds phosphorus and nitrogen to the sediments and kills anaerobic, often pathogenic (disease producing), bacteria that produce acids and toxic gases. The whole process can reduce phosphorus and nitrogen in the water body three to twenty times which is as much as point-source watershed treatment can accomplish.
